How long does a bed-in-a-box take to get to my home?

We make every mattress the day you order it. We will ship in 4-5 business days from when you place your order and send you a tracking number. Your mattress will ship out via FedEx from California and can take up to 5 business days to get to you.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is always free within the contiguous 48 United States. We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or Canada.

Will I get a tracking number?

Yes, you will receive a FedEx tracking number the moment your item ships.

Does my mattress come in a box?

Yes. All mattresses from twin size all the way to Cal King size ship in a box. The box size is 21" x 21" x 42". Think of the box as fitting inside the backseat of your car or sitting on your doorstep.

How long after I unbox can I sleep on the mattress?

When you receive your package you should open it up right away and give it some time to breathe. Let your mattress expand for at least 24 hours and pull on the corners so that the foam has room to expand.

What kind of materials are your mattresses made from?

Our mattresses are constructed from four different specialty grade foams and a uniquely milled cooling mattress cover. We incorporate super-premium and medical-grade Certi-pur LUSH and Hi-CORE Foam layers. Our foam layers include 1-inch, semi-open, fast-recovery gel memory foam, a 3-inch 3.5lb memory foam with medical-grade cooling and recovery levels, and finally a 2.2lb high-density base foam. Each mattress is carefully designed and thoughtfully assembled in order to achieve the perfect combination of firm support and soft, cradling comfort.

How long can I leave the mattress in a box?

We recommend that you unbox the mattress right away when you receive it. The longer that you keep the mattress compressed the longer it takes to come back to life.

Will my mattress smell like chemicals when opened?

All of our mattresses foams are exceptional quality, so chemical smells are non-existent. If there is any faint opening smell of fresh foam, this will dissipate quickly, as it's from new foams being vacuum packed, not from any chemicals.

Can the mattress be re-folded for transport after I open it?

Our mattresses are not designed to be refolded once expanded. The initial compression process uses roller presses which compress the mattress with over 10,000 lbs per square foot for vacuum packing.

How do I clean my mattress?

The attached mattress cover is not removable. It should be spot cleaned with mild soap and water. We strongly recommend protecting your investment with a mattress protector. Our Mattress Protectors are cool, comfortable, and machine washable and should be used with all our mattresses.

Are your mattresses hybrids?

Yes they are! These mattresses are HYBRIDS which means they consist of high-end copper, graphite, or latex foam layers on top of pocketed-coils. Most bed-in-the-box mattresses are made of all foam. Mattresses composed of all foam have tendencies recovering after compression and they also tend to sleep warm. With our cool-touch top fabrics and temperature regulating cooling foams it encourages a cooler more refreshing sleep experience.

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

For standard shipping, delivery times will vary. You can usually expect delivery of your ordered items within 3-7 business days by FedEx Ground, with delivery Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. To get a shipping estimate prior to purchase, add the items you wish to order to your cart. Follow the checkout flow and after inputting your shipping address, an ETA will show for each item. There is no need to input your payment information to check. All items ship separately. You will receive a FedEx Ground tracking email for each item as it ships out. The FedEx tracking information linked in the email will automatically update with the most accurate estimated delivery date as it travels to your home.

Do I need to pay tax on my order?

Sales tax is collected in select states as required by law. Certain states also charge an additional recycling fee for any order that includes the purchase of a mattress. You can see the exact sales tax on your order after entering your address information on the checkout page.

Where are Melnick Sleep products shipped from?

All of our products are Made in the USA. We have shipping from California, Nevada, and Utah.

If Melnick offers such great mattresses, why does it cost so much less than others?

By removing the middle man and selling directly to you, we can offer you the best pricing possible at basically wholesale. We think it’s crazy to pay astronomical prices for a mattress, so we simply don't.

How do I track my order?

Once you've placed your order, our products typically ship from their respective facilities within 3-5 business days. Once a product has shipped, you'll receive a tracking number that you can use to follow your package as it makes its way to you. Please keep in mind that delivery may take longer during/after holidays or severe weather conditions. We recommend keeping a close eye on your order's tracking numbers. That said, we'll do everything in our power to get your order to you as soon as possible!
